【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군 보건소는 지난 25일 주말을 활용해 금왕보건지소에서 관내에 주소를 둔 등록 외국인 60명을 대상으로 ‘만성질환 조기발견을 위한 기초검사(혈압, 혈당, 콜레스테롤)’를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 검사는 평소 건강검진 기회가 상대적으로 적은 외국인 주민들의 건강 격차를 해소하고, 정확한 기초 건강 정보를 제공으로 만성질환의 조기 발견과 예방을 도모하기 위해 마련됐다. 

이날 검사 결과, 혈압이나 혈당 등 수치에서 이상이 발견된 대상자에 대해서는 보건기관과 지역 의료기관에 진료 의뢰를 진행했다.

또 심뇌혈관질환 예방관리사업 대상자로 등록해 정기적인 추적 관리와 함께 건강 증진 프로그램도 제공할 예정이다.

군 보건소 관계자는 “의료 접근성이 낮은 외국인 노동자들이 건강한 삶을 누릴 수 있도록 지속적인 만성질환 예방 관리를 추진할 예정”이라며 “앞으로도 다양한 보건사업을 통해 외국인 주민을 포함한 모든 군민의 건강 형평성 제고에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 군 보건소는 올해 말까지 총 150명의 외국인을 대상으로 기초 건강검사를 실시할 계획이다.
