【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교(총장 김윤배)는 호텔외식경영학과 학생들이 최근 안동국제컨벤션센터에서 열린 '안동 마이스산업 활성화 방안 및 전국 대학생 안동 관광 아이디어 경진대회‘에서 우수상(안동정신문화재단 대표상)을 수상했다고 28일 밝혔다.

호텔외식경영학과 서정운 교수는 우수지도자상을 수상했다.

(사)한국관광서비스학회가 주최한 ’2024년 안동 마이스산업 활성화 방안 및 전국 대학생 안동 관광아이디어 경진대회‘에는 11개 팀이 본선에 진출한 가운데 청주대 호텔외식경영학과팀이 우수상을 수상했다.

청주대 호텔외식경영학과 학생들은 전국 단위 대학생 관광아이디어 경진대회를 통해 마이스(MICE)관광 상품기획 능력과 지역 마이스산업 활성화를 위한 아이디어 구상 및 발표 등을 경험했다.

청주대 호텔외식경영학과 서정운 교수(지도교수)는 “이번 안동시에서 열린 마이스산업 관련 전국학술대회를 통해 학생들이 스스로 지역문제를 해결할 수 있는 능력이 향상됐다”며 “앞으로도 전국적인 학술 및 발표 활동을 진행해 청주대 학생들이 자신의 꿈을 이루는데 최선을 다하겠다“라고 말했다.

Cheongju University Hotel and Restaurant Management Department Wins Excellence Award at Tourism Idea Contest

Cheongju University (President Kim Yoon-bae) announced on the 28th that students from the Hotel and Restaurant Management Department won the Excellence Award (Andong Spirit and Culture Foundation Representative Award) at the 'Andong MICE Industry Activation Plan and National University Student Andong Tourism Idea Contest' held at the Andong International Convention Center recently.

Professor Seo Jeong-woon from the Hotel and Restaurant Management Department won the Excellence Award.

Among the 11 teams that advanced to the final round of the '2024 Andong MICE Industry Activation Plan and National University Student Andong Tourism Idea Contest' hosted by the Korea Tourism Service Association, the Cheongju University Hotel and Restaurant Management Department team won the Excellence Award.

Through the National University Student Tourism Idea Contest, students from the Hotel and Restaurant Management Department at Cheongju University gained experience in MICE tourism product planning capabilities and idea conception and presentation for activating the local MICE industry.

Professor Seo Jeong-woon (advisor) of the Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management at Cheongju University said, “Through this national academic conference on the MICE industry held in Andong City, students’ ability to solve regional problems on their own has improved,” and “We will continue to do our best to help Cheongju University students achieve their dreams by carrying out national academic and presentation activities.”
