【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북 괴산군(군수 송인헌)은 한국관광공사가 추진하는‘디지털 관광주민증’의 명예 괴산군민 등록자가 8만 명을 돌파했다고 30일 밝혔다. 

군에 따르면 디지털 관광주민증 발급자 수는 이달 28일 기준 8만 3,078명으로, 지난 6월 관광주민증 발급을 시작한 이후 5개월 만에 이룬 성과다.

디지털 관광주민증은 인구 감소 지역의 관광 활성화를 위해 문화체육관광부와 한국관광공사가 주관하는 공모사업으로, 군은 지난 6월, 이 사업에 선정돼 관광객 유치를 위한 적극적인 홍보 활동을 펼쳐왔다. 

대한민국 국제관광박람회, 괴산고추축제, 레저 페스티벌 등 주요 행사에서 디지털 관광주민증 사업을 알리며 괴산을 찾는 방문객들의 참여를 유도했다.

디지털 관광주민증은 체험·관람·음식점·숙박 등 다양한 관광지에서 할인 혜택을 받을 수 있는 일종의 명예 주민증으로 해당 지역 거주자를 제외하고 누구나 주민증을 발급받아 사용이 가능하다.
