【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=진천군새마을회(회장 김일권)와 우석대학교 새마을동아리에서 30일 지역아동과 함께하는 태양광 우드 풍차 만들기 체험 교실을 운영했다.

  우석대진천캠퍼스 새마을동아리 회원 20여 명은 진천시민지역아동센터를 방문해 30여 명의 아이를 대상으로 신재생에너지, 태양광에 관해 설명하고 태양광 연필꽂이를 함께 만들어 보는 시간을 가졌다.

  김일권 회장은 “새마을운동의 핵심과제인 탄소중립 실천을 위해 지역의 아이들과 친환경 체험 교실을 운영하면서 신재생에너지에 대한 이해를 조금이나마 높이는 시간이 됐길 바란다”라고 말했다.

  한편 지난 2021년 만들어진 우석대새마을동아리는 일손이음 봉사활동, 벽화 그리기, 수질정화를 위한 EM 흙공 던지기 등 지역 주민과 함께하는 봉사로 MZ 새마을운동 가치를 확산해 나가고 있다.
