【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주박물관은 11월 1일부터 내년 4월 30일까지 1관 기획전시실에서 시민 기증 및 기탁유물을 대상으로 한 제32회 특별전 <시민의 유산>전을 개최한다. 

이번 특별기획전은 1986년부터 2024년까지 충주박물관에 시민들이 기증한 유물 5,500여 점 및 기탁유물 가운데 그동안 대중에게 공개되지 못했던 유물과 보존 가치가 높은 유물을 중심으로 선정하여 100여 점을 전시한다. 

개인 소장품 기증이 시민 모두가 함께 공유하는 유산이 되고 박물관의 보존을 통해 다음 세대의 문화자산이 될 수 있다는 취지로 시작된 이번 전시는 일상에서 발견할 수 있는 문화유산에 대한 시민의 기증 장려를 목표로 하고 있다. 

이번 전시에는 충청북도 유형문화재인 ‘삼탄집’과 금동여래입상 등이 전시된다. 

삼탄집은 조선전기 문신 이승소의 문집으로 올해 2024년 3월 양성이씨 종중이 충주박물관에 기탁한 유물이며, 금동여래입상은 1993년 기증받은 유물로 훼손 상태가 심각하여 수장고에 보관하고 있었으며, 최근 보존 처리가 완료되어 이번에 공개하는 유물이다. 

박흥수 박물관장은“공립박물관의 전시품 대부분은 시민의 기증을 통해 수집된다”라며 “많은 시민이 이번 특별기획전을 관람하고 지역 문화유산의 소중함을 함께 느끼는 계기가 되기가 되었으면 한다”고 말했다.

Chungju Museum will hold the 32nd Special Exhibition <Citizen's Heritage> from November 1 to April 30 next year in the Planning Exhibition Room of Hall 1, targeting relics donated and deposited by citizens.

This special exhibition will display around 100 relics that were not previously revealed to the public and relics with high preservation value among the approximately 5,500 relics and deposits donated by citizens to Chungju Museum from 1986 to 2024.

This exhibition, which started with the idea that donation of personal collections can become a heritage shared by all citizens and can become a cultural asset for the next generation through the preservation of the museum, aims to encourage citizens to donate cultural heritage that can be found in everyday life.

This exhibition will feature the Chungcheongbuk-do tangible cultural assets, ‘Samtanjip’ and the Gilt-bronze Seated Buddha.

Samtanjip is a collection of works by Lee Seung-so, a civil servant from the early Joseon Dynasty, and was donated to the Chungju Museum by the Yangseong Lee clan in March 2024. The Gilt-bronze Seated Buddha was donated in 1993 and was severely damaged, so it was stored in a storage facility. It was recently restored and is now being unveiled.

Museum Director Park Heung-soo said, “Most exhibits at public museums are collected through donations from citizens,” and added, “I hope that this special exhibition will be an opportunity for many citizens to visit and feel the value of local cultural heritage.”
