【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교(총장 김윤배)는 충북인재평생교육진흥원이 주관하는 2024년 ‘대학생 글로벌 해외연수 지원사업’에 선정됐다고 16일 밝혔다.

이 사업은 대학생들에게 양질의 해외연수 기회를 제공해 글로벌 역량 등을 개발하기 위해 마련됐다.

이 사업에 선발된 학생들은 여름방학 8주간 영국, 필리핀에서 글로벌 역량 강화를 비롯해 진로, 창업지식을 넓히게 된다.

청주대학교는 국제교류협정 대학 중 자매대학인 영국 셰필드학교와 필리핀 라살대학교를 연수 기관으로 선정했다. 이 두 대학은 각각 어학연수, 창업과 진로 탐색에 우수한 인프라와 학생 안전관리 시스템을 갖추고 있다.

올해 선발될 20명의 학생들은 여름방학 기간인 7월과 8월, 약 8주간 이 2곳의 대학에서  연수를 진행할 예정이다. 이들은 파견 전에 영어회화, 창업특강, 해외여행 안전교육 등의 사전교육을 받게 되며, 충북 오송에서 K뷰티 제품의 해외 진출 및 로컬 브랜딩 전략을 수립하는 프로젝트를 팀별로 기획할 예정이다.

해외연수 첫 4주는 집중 어학연수 및 프로젝트 준비에 할애되며, 이후 4주간은 현지에서 각 팀이 기획한 프로젝트를 직접 실행할 예정이다. 

청주대학교 권혁재 국제교류처장은 "이번 글로벌 해외연수 프로그램을 통해 학생들이 글로벌 시장에서 필요한 실무 능력과 문화 간 소통 능력을 갖추게 될 것"이라며 "앞으로도 학생들이 국제적인 무대에서 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 지원을 아끼지 않을 계획"이라고 전했다.

Cheongju University (President Kim Yun-bae) announced on the 16th that it was selected for the 2024 ‘College Student Global Overseas Training Support Project’ hosted by the Chungbuk Talent Lifelong Education Promotion Agency.

Students selected for this project will spend eight weeks on summer vacation in the UK and Philippines to strengthen their global capabilities and expand their career and entrepreneurship knowledge.

Among the universities with which it has an international exchange agreement, Cheongju University selected its sister universities, Sheffield School in the UK and La Salle University in the Philippines, as training institutions. These two universities each have excellent infrastructure and student safety management systems for language training, entrepreneurship, and career exploration.

The 20 students who will be selected this year will undergo training at these two universities for approximately 8 weeks during the summer vacation period in July and August.
