【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군의회(의장 박한범)는 지난 29일 국제 우호교류 협력을 위해 몽골 울란바토르시 바양주르흐 구의회 대표단을 초청하여 군의회에 방문 하였다고 밝혔다.

이번 몽골 대표단의 방문은 지난해 11월 3박 4일간의 일정으로 옥천군의회 실무대표단이 바양주르흐 구의회 방문에 대한 답방으로 사전 우호교류 협약체결 및 교류분야 실무 방안을 논의하게 위해 초청방문이 이루어졌다. 

군의회는 그 동안 지방의회의 세계화 추세에 발맞추어 의정활동의 국제적 역량 강화와 교류협력 분야의 다변화를 위해 지난해 8월부터 지역현안 및 특화산업에 적합한 교류 협력분야를 발굴하여 주몽골 대한민국 대사관에 협조 요청을 통해 바양주르흐 구의회와의 우호교류가 성사 되었다.

방문 대표단은 총 5명(구의원4, 공무원1)으로 1.29일부터 2.1까지 3박4일간의 일정으로 이원묘목조합법인 및 충북도립대학교를 방문하여 묘목지원ㆍ생산기술 자문과 유학생 유치 등에 대한 실무적 추진방안을 논의하고, 대청호 관공선 탐방, 정지용 문학관 및 육영수 여사 생가 등을 견학하며 지역생태 및 문화관광 우수사례를 살펴볼 계획이다.

바양주르흐 구의회 의회사무과장인 멘드사이칸은 “방한 대표단을 초청해 주셔서 대단히 감사하다며, 앞으로 지속적인 우호교류를 통해 양 의회간 상생발전의 토대가 마련되길 바란다고 말했다.”
