【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시는 행정안전부의 2023년 ‘로컬브랜딩 활성화 지원사업’에 선정됐다고 31일 밝혔다.
‘로컬브랜딩 활성화 사업’은 지역 고유자원과 특색을 활용해 ‘살고 싶고 방문하고 싶은 경쟁력 있는 생활권’을 도모하기 위해 올해 처음 시행됐다.
시는 첫해 특별교부세 3억 원, 시비 3억 원을 투입해 지역 고유자원과 경쟁력을 활용한 로컬브랜딩 종합계획(마스터플랜)을 수립한다.
2년 차에는 특별교부세 10억, 시비 10억 원의 사업비로 충주시의 특색과 경쟁력을 갖춘 브랜딩을 확립한다는 방침이다.
충주시는 해당 사업을 통해 관아골 일원을 로컬 커뮤니티 LAB(창업 지원 공간)으로 조성하고, 지역 미디어 기반 구축, 로컬콘텐츠 발굴 및 네트워킹 프로그램 등의 개최를 통해 로컬커뮤니티 창업지구를 조성할 예정이다.
시 관계자는 “충주시의 지역자원과 문화를 활용한 신규 창업자 육성 및 교육 등의 사업을 통해 지역브랜드를 강화하겠다”며, “생활인구 증가 등 지역 활성화를 위해 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
