군은 이날 상수원보호구역 내 하천변 폐비닐을 포함한 각종 쓰레기 약 0.5톤을 수거했다.

군의 상수원보호구역은 사평리 효신아스콘부터 하덕천교까지 약 7.5km 구간으로 군민에게 맑고 깨끗한 수돗물을 공급하는 취수원으로 높은 평가를 받고 있다.

군은 안전하고 깨끗한 수돗물 공급을 위해 상수원보호구역 내 불법 어로행위, 야영, 취사 등 각종 금지행위 예방을 위해 지속적인 주민홍보와 순찰을 지속 실시할 계획이다.
