 23일 영동군에 따르면 이 송호관광지는 겨울동안 새단장을 마치고 오는 3월 31일부터 11월 26일까지 관광객과 야영객들을 맞는다.

 영동군 양산팔경 중 6경인 이 송호관광지는 금강줄기를 따라 284,000㎡의 터에 수령 100년이 넘은 소나무숲이 어우러져 절경을 자랑한다.

 캠핑과 휴양을 즐길 수 있는 전국의 몇 안되는 아날로그 감성캠핑장 중 하나로, 주변에는 영국사, 천태산 등 영동의 대표관광지가 산재해 있다.

 텐트 사이트 174개, 화장실, 급수대, 취사장 등 꼭 필요한 편의시설들이 잘 갖춰져 있어 지역 주민뿐만 아니라 인근 지역에서도 많이 찾고 있으며 힐링할 수 있는 특별한 공간들이 많다.

 ‘양산팔경 금강둘레길’은 송호관광지를 중심으로 양산팔경의 숨은 비경을 돌아보며 걷는 6km 웰빙 관광코스로 많은 사랑을 받고 있다.

 코로나19 이후 캠핑족이 증가하는 것을 고려해 충분한 야영공간과 주차장을 정비하고 화장실, 안내판, 손수레 등 주요시설 점검을 마쳤다.

 특히, 지난해에는 이용객 편의를 위해 샤워장을 건립해 무료 개방했으며, 전기 이용 사이트도 17개소를 확충해 올해부터 본격 운영한다. 

 또한, 올해부터는 송호관광지 야영객이 야영기간동안 영동군 내에서 소비한 영수증(3만원이상)을 관리사무소에 제시하면 일라이트비누, 캔와인 등의 지역특산품을 공정캠핑 기념품으로 받을 수 있다.

 군은 힐링을 중시하는 관광트렌드를 반영하고, 더욱 다양해지는 관광욕구에 부응하도록 관광지 편의시설 개선에 지속 노력한다는 방침이다.

 군 관계자는 “송호관광지는 전국의 캠핑마니아들은 물론, 가족 여행객들에게 여가문화를 즐기는 최적의 명소로 손꼽히고 있다”라며 “송호관광지에서 특별한 힐링여행을 즐기시길 바란다”라고 말했다. 

 한편, 시설사용 사이트 1박당 이용 요금은 일반야영장의 경우 1만5천원, 전기야영장은 2만원이다.
