【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=진천군이 올해 첫 투자유치 협약을 체결하며 8년 연속 투자유치 1조원 달성을 위한 힘찬 시동을 걸었다.

  진천군은 17일 진천군청 소회의실에서 국내 5개 우량기업과 함께 1천 574억 원 규모의 합동 투자 협약식을 개최했다.

  이날 협약식에는 송기섭 진천군수와 ㈜엠알인프라오토 함도헌 대표, 영일제약㈜ 김종우 대표, 동희㈜ 대표 김종섭, ㈜삼진푸드 신용운 대표, ㈜지에스티산업 육영성 대표가 참석했다.

  충북도-진천군과 투자협약을 체결한 5개 기업은 오는 2024년까지 이월면 사당리 일원에 조성되는 진천 테크노폴리스 산업단지에 자리를 잡을 예정이다.

  이들은 신규공장 건설과 설비투자를 진행하고 260여 명을 신규 고용한다는 계획이다. 

  협약 기업들은 진천 테크노폴리스 산업단지의 수도권 접근성과 우수한 교통망, 원활한 인력수급, 물류 접근 용이성, 저렴한 분양가 등을 높이 평가해 이번 투자를 결정했다.

  ㈜엠알인프라오토는 고도의 정밀도와 기능을 요하는 자동차, 전기전자 기계 부품 등에 필요한 제품을 생산하는 업체로 2026년까지 진천 테크노폴리스 산업단지에 363억 원을 투자해 부품 생산공장을 신설하고 105명을 신규 채용할 계획이다. 

  영일제약㈜은 지속적인 연구개발과 첨단 의학 기술로 국민건강을 책임지는 완제 의약품 제조업체로 2026년까지 500억 원을 투자해 의약품 제조공장을 신설하고 50명의 지역 인력을 고용할 예정이다. 

  동희㈜는 경기도 용인에 위치한 물엿, 올리고당 등 당류 및 전분 제품 전문 제조업체로 2027년까지 260억 원을 투자해 식료품 원자재 제조공장을 신설하고 37명을 신규 채용한다.

  ㈜삼진푸드는 각종 소스와 농축액, 복합 조미식품 등을 생산하는 식품 가공‧제조기업으로 2026년까지 311억 원을 투자해 식품가공 공장을 신설하고 37명을 신규 채용할 예정이다. 

  마지막으로 ㈜지에스티산업은 용접형 심레스, 진공밸브 등을 생산하는 반도체 장비 전문업체로 2028년까지 140억 원을 투자하고 34명을 신규 채용할 계획이다. 

  송기섭 진천군수는 “오늘 협약을 체결한 기업들이 바로 진천군이 일류 경제도시로 성장할 수 있게 하는 핵심 원동력”이라며 “앞으로 기반(인프라) 확충, 규제개선 등을 통해 우리 군에 새롭게 터를 잡는 기업들이 안착할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”라고 말했다.

  한편 진천테크노폴리스 산단은 약 80만㎡(24만평) 규모로 조성 중이며 이날 협약으로 산업용지의 60%가 분양을 마쳤으며 현재도 다수의 수도권 기업체들의 입주 문의가 이어지고 있다.
