 단, 올해부터 정부에서 지원하는 부모급여와의 중복을 피하기 위해 금년에 한해 0세를 지원하고, 1세에 대해서도 지원 금액을 일부 조정한다.

 출생 연도에 따라 2023년도 출생아의 경우 올해 300만원, 1세 100만원, 2세~4세 각 200만원씩 매년 지원하며, 2024년도 출생아부터는 1세 100만원, 2세~5세 각 200만원, 6세 100만원을 매년 지원한다.

 그동안 충북도에서는 출산육아수당 시행을 위하여 보건복지부와 사회보장제도 신설 협의를 진행해 왔으며, 지난 2월 24일 보건복지부는 향후 일정기간 사업을 시행하고 성과평가를 실시한 이후에 사업의 지속 여부를 평가하여 결정하겠다’며 조건부로 협의를 완료했다.

 지난 22일 통계청 발표 자료에 따르면, 충청북도의 지난해 출생아 수는 7,456명으로 전년대비 734명이 감소하였으며, 합계출산율은 전년도 0.95명에서 0.87명으로 감소하였다. 충북의 출생아 수 증감률 또한 전년도 전국 시도 가운데 7위에서 14위로 급락했다.

 한편, 도내 출생아 수의 62.5%가 있는 청주시는 그동안 재정부담 등 어려움으로 수차례 중앙부처, 도와 협의를 통하여 재정부담을 줄이기 위해 노력해왔다.
