충북참여자치시민연대(시민연대)는 28일 오전 11시 충북도의회 앞에서 기자회견을 갖고, 해당 의원은 음주 추태 논란에 대해 도민에게 진솔하게 해명하고, 잘못에 대해 사과할 것을 요구했다. 또한, 충북도의회는 음주 추태 의혹을 철저히 조사하고, 윤리특별위원회가 제 기능을 하고 있다는 것을 도민에게 보여줄 것을 주문했다.
