이번 세이브 아프간위민(Save AfghanWomen)챌린지는 아프가니스탄 여성들의 생명권과 기본권 침해 문제의 국민적 공감대 형성을 위해 지난 8월부터 국회에서 시작해서 이어져 왔다.

챌린지 참여는 ‘세이브 아프간위민(Save AfghanWomen)’메시지가 인쇄된 피켓에 ‘아프가니스탄 여성들의 인권 보호 우리 모두의 관심이 필요합니다. ’라는 손글씨를 적어 들고 사진 촬영하여 SNS에 게시하는 것으로 진행되었다.

서주선 교육장은 “우리 모두의 관심과 공조를 통해 하루빨리 아프가니스탄 여성들이 인권이 보장되는 안전한 환경 속에서 행복한 삶을 살 수 있기를 바란다”고 말했다.

한편 서주선 교육장은 릴레이를 이어갈 다음 주자로 단성중학교 김진수 교장을 지명했다.
