Jincheon-gun is working hard to prevent the spread of respiratory viruses in the region, including COVID-19.

According to the county on the 12th, the total number of specimen tests at the screening clinic as of the 10th was 15,485 cases, with 167 confirmed cases so far, showing a confirmation rate of 1.07%.

This is not only lower than the national average of 1.59%, but also 137 confirmed cases are concentrated in nursing facilities in the cohort being quarantined, and stable management is being maintained without actual local spread.

In the case of a nursing facility in which a large number of confirmed cases occurred, the worst situation in which the virus could spread outside the facility was prevented in advance as a case where a hidden confirmed person was found through a preemptive total investigation of 42 high-risk facilities in the facility.

In order to block infections in the area through a nursing hospital, the military conducts a rapid antigen test every day for both facility users and workers, and conducts a full PCR test once every 3 days. We are moving.

In addition to the COVID-19 virus, the military has designated Jincheon St. Mary's Hospital as a “respiratory clinic” in preparation for the simultaneous outbreak of respiratory infections in winter and has been operating since the 28th of last month.

This is a measure to minimize the medical gap for respiratory and fever patients caused by COVID-19 and to protect medical personnel and medical institutions from infection.

Through this, facilities necessary for treatment such as △waiting room △treatment room △testing room △radiation room △negative pressure equipment facility were prepared in a separate space separated from the hospital building. It safely and efficiently treats symptoms of general respiratory diseases such as.

In addition, the military has been supplying 1.24 million masks, the most effective hygiene product before vaccination, to all military citizens, including foreigners, and is doing its best to prevent the spread of the virus by providing free influenza vaccines to adults aged 50 to 61 for the first time in Chungbuk Province. .

A local resident who visited the Respiratory System Clinic said, “I was anxious because of the symptoms of a cold at dawn, but it was nice to be able to visit easily regardless of the time of day,” and “I thought I should be more careful when I see medical personnel suffering from the cold weather. I heard this,” he expressed his gratitude.

Health Center Director Kim Min-ki said, “As the temperature drops and the possibility of transmission of respiratory viruses is increasing, we are actively operating screening clinics and respiratory clinics, and taking measures accordingly. Please refrain from activities and pay special attention to wearing a mask.”
