【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군이 2020년 증평군민대상 후보자를 다음달 6일까지 추천받는다.

증평군민대상은 지역사회의 발전과 이익에 공헌한 행적이 뚜렷한 군민 또는 출향인을 발굴 시상하기 위한 상으로, 산업경제, 문화복지, 윤리봉사, 특별 4개 부문에서 후보자를 추천받는다.

산업경제 분야는 지역사회개발, 신규 소득원 개발로 군민소득에 기여하거나 민간자본 및 기업유치 등으로 지역경제 활성화에 기여한 군민을 대상으로 한다.

학문, 교육, 문화, 예술, 체육진흥, 주민복지증진에 기여한 군민은 문화･복지부문에, 사회윤리 실천 및 선양에 공헌했거나 봉사활동으로 타의 귀감이 된 군민은 윤리·봉사부문에 해당한다.

국내․외에 증평을 빛냈거나 증평지역 발전에 크게 공헌한 출향인사는 특별부문에 추천할 수 있다.

특별부문(거주지 무관)을 제외하고는 현재 증평군에 주민등록을 두고 3년 이상 거주하고 있어야만 추천 대상자가 될 수 있다.

읍‧면장, 기관단체장 또는 각급 학교장의 추천서와 공적조서 등을 포함한 관련서류를 군청 행정과로 방문 또는 우편(증평군 증평읍 광장로 88)으로 제출하면 된다.

군은 접수된 후보자들을 대상으로 심사위원회의 심의를 거쳐 수상자를 선정해 오는 12월 시상할 계획이다.

2005년부터 시작된 증평군민대상에는 총 21명이 이름을 올렸고, 작년에는 증평읍에 거주하는 이금영씨가 뛰어난 봉사활동 실적(916회, 2775시간)으로 윤리봉사부문에서 군민대상을 수상했다.

군 관계자는 “지역과 군정발전을 위해 노력하신 분들을 적극 발굴해 공로가 인정될 수 있도록 많은 관심과 적극적인 추천을 부탁드린다”고 말했다.
