해당 사업을 통해 병원 방문이 어려운 65세 이상 어르신들은 의사나 한의사로부터 가정 내에서 드레싱, 욕창 관리, 침 치료 등 의료 서비스를 받을 수 있다.

경제적 부담도 낮췄다.

방문 진료 시 발생하는 약 4만 원 상당의 본인부담금 중 일부를 시가 지원해 건강보험 가입자는 1만 원, 의료급여 수급자 등은 2,000원만 부담하도록 했다.

서비스 이용을 원하는 경우 거주지 읍면동 행정복지센터를 통해 통합돌봄 서비스를 신청하면 된다. 

신청 후 건강 상태와 복지 필요도에 대한 종합 평가를 거쳐 협약 의료기관과 연계된 맞춤형 진료가 제공된다.

시 관계자는 “현장에서 어르신과 가족들의 만족도가 높고 추가 요청도 이어지고 있다”며 “이번 확대 운영을 통해 의료 접근성을 크게 개선하겠다”고 말했다.
