【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교는 경찰행정학과 학생들이 ‘2025년 전국 대학생 UAM 올림피아드 대회’에서 최우수상을 수상했다고 2일 밝혔다.

최근 경찰행정학과 학생들은 국토교통부와 한국교통안전공단 주최하고, 한국교통안전공단, 한국공항공사, 한국법제연구원 등 6개 기관이 주관한 ‘전국 대학생 UAM 올림피아드 대회’에서 최우수상을 수상했다.

이 대회는 도심항공교통 분야 핵심 기술 교류와 전문 인력 양성을 위해 마련됐으며, 올해로 4회째를 맞았다. 미래 모빌리티 시대를 이끌어갈 전국 대학생들이 △기체창작 △공간정보 △버티포트 △사회적수용성 △전파환경분석 △규제혁신 등 총 6개 부문에서 팀별 성과물을 발표하며 열띤 경연을 펼쳤다.

청주대 이지혜(행정학과 석사과정), 홍성연(경찰행정학과 3학년), 김하늘(" 2학년), 노유미(" 2학년), 신수진(" 2학년)학생은 견승엽(중앙행정심판위원회 검토위원)·박세훈(한국법제연구원 연구위원) 겸임교수의 지도 아래 성과물을 제출해, 최우수상인 국토교통부장관상과 함께 상금 300만 원을 수여받았다.

청주대 경찰행정학과 김원중 학과장은 "2년 연속 UAM 올림피아드에서 수상했지만, 올해는 특히 우리 대학 학생들만의 힘으로 최우수상을 수상하여 뜻깊다."며 “학생들이 국내외 다양한 대회에 적극 참여할 수 있도록 도울 것이며, 이것이 동기가 되어 경찰로 진출할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”고 말했다.
