【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 제1기 음성사랑행복위원회 임기를 성공적으로 마무리하고, 제2기 음성사랑행복위원회의 공식적인 시작을 알리는 발대식을 30일 음성명작관에서 개최했다고 밝혔다.

음성사랑행복위원회(이하 위원회)는 군민이 직접 지역사회 현안과 주요 정책을 점검·조정하는 ‘음성형 주민참여 거버넌스’이다.

민선8기 공약사업의 일환으로 지난 2022년 9월 출범한 제1기 위원회는 ‘지속가능한 성장, 더 큰 음성’을 위해 지난 2년간 △민선8기 공약사업 이행 점검 및 평가 △군정에 대한 아이디어 제안 △주요 현안 사업장 점검 등의 활동을 하며 군과 주민의 소통 창구이자 정책 참여기구로서 적극적인 활동을 펼쳐왔다.

이날 발대식에서는 제1기의 활동을 이어받은 61명의 기존위원과 9명의 신규위원을 포함한 70명의 위원을 위촉했다.

또 제2기의 활동을 이끌어 갈 위원장, 부위원장, 분과위원장 등을 선출했으며, 그린에너지 스마트농업단지 투자선도지구 등 주요 현안과 분과별 공약사업 추진 상황을 점검했다.

이어 군은 지난 6월부터 추진하고 있는 지속가능발전 기본전략 및 추진계획 수립 용역의 일환으로 공청회를 개최했다.

유엔과 정부의 지속가능발전 목표 달성에 적극 동참하고 경제·사회·환경 등의 분야별 지속가능발전 정책 수립 등을 위해 각계각층의 의견을 수렴했다.

군은 이번 공청회에서 제시된 의견을 용역 및 정책에 반영해 음성형 지속가능발전 체계를 구축한다는 방침이다. 

조병옥 군수는 “음성사랑행복위원회는 군민 중심의 풀뿌리 민주주의 실현과 더불어 군민의 목소리를 군정에 녹아내는 중요한 창구가 돼 왔다”며 “새롭게 출범하는 제2기 음성사랑행복위원회와 함께 공약사업을 성공적으로 완수해 ‘2030 음성시 건설’을 위한 기틀 마련에 총력을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
