  지난 28일부터 3일간 충북대학교와 한국산림복지진흥원의 공동주최로 진천군과 대전광역시 일원에서 개최된 2024 세계 산림치유포럼에서 ‘진천선언’이 채택·발표됐다.

  포럼은 한국형 산림치유 모델을 국제적으로 확산하고 국제적 연대를 강화, 산림치유 분야 발전의 본격적 계기를 마련하기 위해 개최됐다.

  앞서 28일 대전광역시 호텔인더시티에서 열린 개막 첫날에는 개회식을 시작으로 신원섭 포럼 의장을 비롯해 덴마크, 슬로베니아, 미국, 독일 등 국제 전문가들의 기조연설이 이어지며 소분야별 전문가들의 구두 발표가 밤늦게까지 이어졌다.

  둘째 날 오전에는 진천아트포레 수목원에서 힐링 콘서트가 진행됐으며 오후에는 진천치유의숲으로 자리를 옮겨 대규모 환영행사가 이어졌다.

  이날 포럼의 메인 행사로 세계 각국에서 참가한 8명의 대표가 ‘진천선언’을 채택해 발표했다.

  이어 송 군수는 △치유의숲 △미르숲 △아트포레 수목원 △K-스토리창작클러스터 △진천숯산업클러스터 △생거진천자연휴양림 등 진천군의 우수한 ‘광역 산림치유 네트워크’를 활용한 전략적 산림치유 분야의 성장 비전을 밝히기도 했다.
