이번 걷기대회는 박달재전통시장 고객센터에서 출발해 박달재휴양림을 거쳐 박달재 옛길을 따라 정상을 돌아오는 코스로, 남녀노소 누구나 참가할 수 있으며, 걷기대회 후에는 떡메치기, 노래자랑, 경품추첨 등 다양한 이벤트와 체험활동이 진행될 예정이다.

노용진 박달재전통시장 상인회장은 “전통시장에서 다양한 행사를 통해 활력을 불어넣고, 시장의 발전을 위해 계속해서 노력하겠다”라고 전했다.

한편, 박달재전통시장은 현재 74개의 점포 중 58개 점포가 상인회를 이뤄 2018년 인정시장에 등록되었으며, 매년 여름축제와 박달재옛길 걷기 등 다양한 행사를 진행하고 있다.
