입학준비금은 아동이 어린이집에 입학할 때 필요한 피복류 구입비(원복, 체육복, 가방 등)로 전액 보호자가 부담하는 비용이다.

군은 보호자의 양육비 부담을 줄이기 위해 지난해 음성군 보육 조례를 개정해 입학준비금 지원 근거를 마련했다.

입학준비금 지원 대상은 2024년 1월 1일 기준 음성군에 주민등록을 두고 음성군 소재 어린이집에 최초 입학하는 아동이며, 생애 최초 1회만 지원하므로 유치원 입학축하금과 중복 지원은 불가하다.

별도의 신청 기간은 없으며 어린이집에서 일괄 신청 후 원복, 가방 등 10만원 상당의 피복류를 구입해 신입 원아에게 전달하는 방식으로 추진할 예정이다.

조병옥 군수는“앞으로도 양질의 보육서비스 제공으로 아이들이 행복한 보육환경이 조성될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
