【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군(군수 이재영)은 서원대학교(총장 손석민)와 지역전략산업 육성과 평생교육 활성화를 위해 업무협약을 체결했다고 16일 밝혔다.

협약식에는 이재영 증평군수와 서원대 손석민 총장을 비롯해 산학협력단장, 평생교육원장 등 관계자 20여 명이 참석했다.

지역전략산업은 바이오(BT), 반도체(IT), 2차전지(GT) 등 증평군의 3대 전략육성산업으로 이번 협약은 지난달 23일 서울에서 열린 ‘2023 증평군 투자유치 설명회’에서 발표한 인근 대학 협력과 우수 인력공급에 대한 후속 조치다.

증평군과 서원대학교는 이번 협약을 통해 지역전략산업 육성에 필요한 전문인력 양성과 취업 지원을 합의했으며, 특히 증평군은 지역경제 활성화를 위한 기업·대학 및 지자체 간 협력 활동에 적극적인 행정지원을 약속했다.

또한, 양 기관은 초고령사회 진입과 학령인구 감소로 발생하는 지역문제를 평생교육 활성화를 통해 해결하고 지역인재 양성과 평생교육 사업에 적극 협력하기로 했다.

이재영 증평군수는 “이번 업무협약이 지역사회와 대학 간의 적극적인 상호작용을 이끌어내는 좋은 모델이 될 것으로 기대한다”며“앞으로도 지역경제 활성화와 지역주민들의 삶의 질 향상에 더욱 앞장서겠다”고 말했다.

Jeungpyeong-gun (Governor Lee Jae-young) announced on the 16th that it had signed a business agreement with Seowon University (President Son Seok-min) to foster regional strategic industries and vitalize lifelong education.

About 20 people attended the agreement ceremony, including Jeungpyeong County Mayor Lee Jae-young, Seowon University President Son Seok-min, industry-university cooperation head, and lifelong education director.

Regional strategic industries are the three strategic fostering industries of Jeungpyeong-gun, such as bio (BT), semiconductor (IT), and secondary batteries (GT). It is a follow-up measure for cooperation and supply of excellent manpower.
