【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군(군수 조병옥)이 ‘여성친화도시’로 지정돼 여성가족부와 여성친화도시 협약을 체결했다.

16일 오후 2시 정부서울청사 대강당에서 진행된 협약식은 음성군을 비롯해 신규 지정된 25개 지자체들이 참여해 협약서 서명 및 대표사업 소개, 소감 발표 순으로 진행됐다.

군은 지난 2017년 첫 지정을 받아 협약 기간 5년 동안 여성을 포함한 사회적 약자를 배려한 도시환경을 조성했고, 이번 두 번째 지정으로 2027년까지 5년간 여성친화도시 자격을 유지하게 된다.

군은 여성친화기업 지원, 여성안심길 모니터링, 돌봄노동자 지원, 여성거점공간 조성, 여성일자리 협의체, 안전부서 실무협의체 등을 운영해 여성과 남성이 평등하게 참여하고 여성의 역량 강화, 돌봄, 안전이 구현되는 도시가 되도록 총력을 다했다.

조병옥 음성군수는 “이번 여성친화도시 협약을 통해 일상에서 체감할 수 있는 여성 친화 정책을 이어 나가 여성뿐만 아니라 군민 모두가 체감하는 성평등 사회가 구현되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편, 군은 20일 ‘여성･아동친화도시 및 가족친화인증’ 현판 제막식을 개최해 다함께 누리는 행복한 포용 도시 음성으로서의 도약과 발전을 위한 새로운 출발을 다짐할 예정이다.
