   이번 대회는 충청북도 농구협회와 제천시 농구협회 주관으로, 전국 초등·중등학교 유소년 40개팀 700여명의 선수 및 대회관계자, 학부모 등이 대거 참석할 예정이다.

  특히 대회기간 중인 18일에는 전 국가대표선수로 활약한 허재 감독과   전태풍, 추승균 등 유명 선수들이 제천을 방문해 유소년 농구 실력 향상을 위한 농구클리닉, 팬사인회 등 이벤트가 계획되어 있어 눈길을 끈다.

  시 관계자는 “앞으로도 선수학부모들의 방문이 많은 각종 유소년 대회를 전략적으로 유치해 시 홍보와 더불어 지역경기 부양에 심혈을 기울이겠다”고 말했다.
