옥천군드림스타트, 28개 사업 160가구 대상 본격 추진

【브레이크뉴스 충북】임창용 기자=옥천군 드림스타트는 2022년 임인년 새해 겨울철 한파에 취약한 드림스타트 아동 40여 가구에 포근한 이불세트를 전달하고 건강하고 따뜻한 겨울나기 준비로 2022년 드림스타트 첫 출발을 알렸다.

 

드림스타트는 올해 1억1천7백만원의 사업비로 가족사진 찍기, 구강교육, 영양제 지원, 반찬배달, 학습지교실 등 28개 사업 160가구(대상 아동 230여명) 계획하고 있다.

 

특히, 2차 성장기를 맞은 초등학생을 대상으로 경제적 부담 및 보호자 부재로 소홀해 질 수 있는 성인준비를 위한 맞춤형 속옷 지원사업과 위생용품(생리대) 지원사업을 새롭게 추진할 계획이라고 밝혔다.

 

맞춤형 속옷지원은 작년에 이어 두 번째로, 대상아동에게 쿠폰을 지급해 보호자에게도 말하기 민감한 부분을 적기에 해결할 수 있어 호응이 좋았다.

 

이에 군은 해당 아동들에게 꼭 필요한 위생용품(생리대)을 추가로 지원해 다양한 욕구에 부응하는 맞춤형 복지사업을 추진하도록 할 계획이다.

 

정지승 주민복지과장은“지난 몇 해 동안 코로나19로 인해 드림스타트 사업을 추진하는데 어려움이 많았다. 가족캠프 등 드림가족이 함께 할 수 있도록 준비한 여러 사업을 진행하지 못해 아쉬움이 컸다”며 “올해는 코로나 상황이 호전되어 다채롭게 준비한 드림스타트 사업으로 우리 드림가족들이 보다 건강하고 활기차게 생활할 수 있기를 바란다.”고 말했다.  

 

한편, 드림스타트는 취약계층 아동에게 맞춤형 통합서비스를 제공하여 아동의 건강한 성장과 발달을 도모하고 공평한 출발기회를 보장함으로써, 건강하고 행복한 사회구성원으로 성장할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업으로, 현재 옥천군에는 150여명의 아동이 아동통합서비스를 지원받고 있다.
