박 의원은 청주시 관내에 공중화장실 등에서의 디지털성범죄를 예방하고 시민들이 안심하고 화장실을 이용할 수 있도록 하는데 중추적인 역할을 했다.

2019년 5월에 대표발의한 ‘청주시 공중화장실 설치 및 관리 조례 일부개정조례안’ 에서는 공중화장실 등에 안심스크린과 음성인식 안심벨을 설치하여 불법촬영 등에 의한 성범죄를 사전에 예방할 수 있도록 규정하였고, 공중화장실운영자문위원회의 기능에 불법촬영 등에 의한 성범죄 예방에 관한 사항을 추가하여 디지털성범죄 예방을 위해 경찰·의회·시청이 서로 협력할 수 있도록 가교 역할을 해왔다.

박미자 의원은 "의원으로서 당연히 해야 할 일을 한 것인데 오늘 경찰청장으로부터 감사장까지 받게 되어 보람을 느끼고, 앞으로도 디지털성범죄 취약지역 환경개선과 쾌적한 청주시 생활환경을 조성하는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 소감을 밝혔다.
