군은 지난 16일부터 18일까지 피해가 컸던 동이면 적하리 침수피해지역에 콤바인 5대를 동원하여 논에 벼베기 임작업을 무상으로 지원했다.

군에 따르면 동이면 적하리 지역은 지난 8월 8일, 9일 용담댐 방류 및 집중호우로 농지 17.6ha(103필지)가 침수되어 46농가가 피해를 입었다.

이번 임작업 지원은 특히 피해가 심했던 동이면 적하리 지역 24가구 10ha (57필지)를 대상으로 하였다.

김재종 군수는 16일 용담댐 방류 및 장마철 집중호우로 큰 피해를 입은 동이면 적하리 벼 수확 농가를 찾아 농민들의 애로사항을 청취하고 주민들과 소통의 시간을 가졌다.

김 군수는“지난 여름 연이은 태풍과 호우피해 등으로 어려운 상황 속에서도 희망을 잃지 않고 빠른 복구 노력에 감사드린다.”며 “군에서도 신속한 벼 베기 지원을 위해 농업기술센터에서 가용 가능한 콤바인과 임작업을 무상으로 지원을 결정했다. 농가 소득안정을 위해 다각적인 노력을 기울이겠다.”고 말했다.

동이면 적하리 마을 이상택(51) 이장은 “하천 주변 논은 지난해보다 수확량이 60% ~ 70% 감소하여 200평 기준 6만원 정도하는 임작업료를 내면 남는 게 없다”며 “어려운 농가를 위해 군에서 임작업 지원해주어 큰 힘이 되었다”고 감사의 말을 전했다.
