【브레이크뉴스 충북】김병주 기자=충청북도와 충주시는 14일 충주시청 중앙탑회의실에서 ㈜에이피씨테크(대표 김승진)와 97억 원 규모의 투자협약을 체결했다. 

이날 협약식은 코로나 감염예방을 위해 조길형 충주시장, 천명숙 충주시의회 의장, 강성덕 상공회의소 회장, 김승진 에이피씨테크 대표자 등이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

㈜에이피씨테크는 이날 협약을 통해 오는 2024년까지 97억원을 들여 첨단산업단지 내 10,308㎡ 부지, 4,999㎡ 규모의 공장을 증설하고 160여 명의 근로자를 채용할 계획이다.

지난 2014년 주덕농공단지에 설립된 ㈜에이피씨테크는 세계 유일 특허 광촉매 축광성 공기청정기를 생산하는 기업체로 광촉매 기술을 활용해 유해한 약품을 사용하지 않고 빛으로만 여러 종류의 화학물질을 안전하게 분해할 수 있는 친환경적인 제품을 생산하는 곳이다.

또 ‘2018년 제1회 대한민국 강소기업 대상’에서 ‘혁신상품 축광성 광촉매 공기청정기 부문 대상’을 수상한 바 있으며, 조달청 혁신 시제품 선정 등 광촉매 에어닥터를 생산·판매함으로써 국내시장의 선구적 위치를 확보하고 해외 진출도 계획 중이다.

조길형 충주시장은 “최근 코로나19 등으로 건강에 대해 관심이 많은 시기에 범용성이 높은 축광성 광촉매 기술을 사용한 공기청정기 등의 제조시설 투자를 결정해 주신 김승진 대표님께 감사드린다”며, “이번 협약이 코로나19로 침체된 지역경제가 활력을 되찾는 계기가 되길 바라며, 시는 기업투자가 원활하게 진행될 수 있도록 행·재정적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 말했다.

한편, ㈜에이씨테크는 집중호우로 피해를 본 지역의 수재민을 돕기 위한 수재의연금 300만원과 저소득층을 위한 1천만 원 상당의 공기청정기를 기탁한 바 있다.

Established in Judeok Agricultural Industrial Complex in 2014, APC Tech Co., Ltd. is the only company in the world that produces patented photocatalytic photoluminescent air purifiers. It uses photocatalytic technology to safely decompose various types of chemical substances only with light without using harmful chemicals. It is a place that produces eco-friendly products that can be used.

In addition, it was awarded the'Innovative Product Phosphorescent Photocatalyst Air Purifier Category Grand Prize' at the '1st Korea Small Giant Enterprise Awards' in 2018, and secured a pioneering position in the domestic market by producing and selling photocatalytic air doctors, including selection of innovative prototypes from the Public Procurement Service. It is also planning to expand overseas.

Chungju City Mayor Jo Gil-hyung said, “I would like to thank CEO Seung-jin Kim for making investments in manufacturing facilities such as air purifiers using highly versatile photoluminescent photocatalyst technology at a time when there is a lot of interest in health due to Corona 19.” We hope that the local economy stagnated by Corona 19 will be an opportunity to regain vitality, and the city will not spare administrative and financial support so that corporate investment can proceed smoothly.”

Meanwhile, AC Tech Co., Ltd. has deposited an air purifier worth 3 million won for flood victims and 10 million won for low-income families to help flood victims in areas affected by torrential rain.
