부녀회는 4일 증평군 소재 육군 제37보병사단에서 열린 입영문화제 현장을 찾아 입영 장정과 가족들을 대상으로 커피와 차를 대접하는 나눔 봉사를 펼쳤다.

충북지방병무청이 주관하는 입영문화제는 병역 의무를 시작하는 입영자들의 긴장감을 해소하고, 가족과 함께 소중한 추억을 만들며 입영을 축제처럼 즐길 수 있도록 마련된 행사다.

이날 부녀회원들은 긴장된 표정으로 위병소를 들어서는 장정들과 아쉬움을 뒤로한 가족들에게 정성껏 준비한 커피와 차 300여 잔을 건네며 격려의 메시지를 전했다.

유금렬 회장은 “증평에서 군 생활을 시작하게 된 청년들이 따뜻한 차 한 잔으로 마음의 안정을 찾길 바라는 마음에서 회원들과 뜻을 모았다”며 “국방의 의무를 다하는 장병들과 그들을 배웅하는 가족들을 위해 앞으로도 꾸준히 나눔 활동을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
