【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청이 지역 산업 현장에 즉시 투입 가능한 숙련기술 인재를 양성하기 위해 민간 전문가 단체와 힘을 모은다.

충북교육청은 4일, 충청북도숙련기술인연합회(회장 우인숙)와 ‘숙련기술 기반 지역 인재 양성을 위한 업무협약(MOU)’을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 산업계가 요구하는 실무 역량을 교육 현장에 접목해 학생들의 취업 경쟁력을 높이고, 교육과 산업 현장 간의 간극을 좁히기 위해 마련됐다.

양 기관은 이번 협약에 따라 ▲숙련기술 인재 양성을 위한 상호 협력 네트워크 구축 ▲산업 맞춤형 인재 양성 및 취업 활성화를 위한 교류 ▲현장 중심 교육 프로그램 개발 및 운영 ▲기타 지역 산업 발전을 위한 협력 사업 등을 공동 추진하기로 했다.

특히 도교육청은 산업 수요에 기반한 실무 중심 교육을 확대하고, 지역 내 우수 기업들과 연계한 인재 양성 체계를 견고히 하여 직업계고 학생들의 취업 지원을 강화할 방침이다.

우인숙 충청북도숙련기술인연합회장은 “교육기관과 산업계의 긴밀한 협력은 현장 중심 인재 양성의 핵심”이라며, “연합회의 기술 노하우를 전수해 지역 산업 발전에 이바지하겠다”고 말했다.

윤건영 교육감은 “이번 협약으로 학생들이 산업 현장의 살아있는 기술을 익혀 진로를 개척하는 데 큰 도움이 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 산업계와의 파트너십을 넓혀 직업계고 교육과정을 내실화하고, 지역과 함께 성장하는 인재 양성 생태계를 구축하겠다”고 강조했다.
